We make the boxes. That's the short version, and it explains most of what follows.
Boxpac is the trade packaging arm of a UK corrugated manufacturing group. Most packaging websites are resellers — they buy from a manufacturer, add a margin and ship it on. Our corrugated range is made by our own group, which is why our prices, lead times and willingness to change a specification look different from theirs.
What being a manufacturer actually changes
Three things, and none of them are marketing.
Price. You pay for board and conversion. You don't pay for board, conversion and a reseller's mark-up on top. There's no middleman margin in a cardboard box you buy from us.
Lead time. We schedule our own production. When a supplier's order book lengthens, resellers wait their turn behind that supplier's bigger customers. We don't have that queue to join.
Specification. If the size, board grade or print you need isn't in the standard range, changing it is a conversation with our own plant rather than a request handed up a supply chain. That's why bespoke work here is a quote rather than a polite no.
Made here, and sourced direct
We'd rather be precise about this than let you assume, because the distinction is the point.
Our own plant in Rochford, Essex makes the corrugated range. Single wall and double wall boxes, postal boxes and mailers, letterbox boxes, long postal boxes, mug boxes and flower boxes. When those pages say direct from the manufacturer, it is literal.
The rest we buy direct from the people who make it. Envelopes, book wraps, record mailers and paper mailing and padded bags come straight from their manufacturers — not through a distributor, not through a wholesaler. One fewer margin than almost anyone else selling the same goods, and a direct line to the maker when a specification question comes up.
If a supplier won't tell you which of their range is which, that usually tells you something.
Stock you can actually rely on
Manufacturing capability is worth very little if the size you standardised on is unavailable in November.
Our group holds over 100,000 square feet of warehousing, and we buy into it in trade quantities rather than making you wait on a production run. For an operation that has built its packing bench, its postage rates and its product listings around one box, a stock-out isn't an inconvenience — it means changing box, re-measuring, and redoing the postage sums in your busiest week.
Built for business buyers
£75 minimum order. Everything here, from the pack quantities and price breaks to the ex-VAT pricing, is set up for businesses that buy packaging regularly: fulfilment houses, warehouses and online sellers. The minimum keeps our pricing and service focused on those buyers, rather than diluted to serve someone who needs one box.
Free delivery to the UK mainland on every order.
Order by 2pm, Monday to Friday, for same-day dispatch, with delivery in 1–2 working days.
Trade packs with price breaks as quantities rise, and prices shown excluding VAT, because that is how businesses compare them.
Double loyalty points on everything you buy.
Bespoke
If your product doesn't fit a standard box, the standard box is the wrong answer. Oversizing costs you volumetric weight on every parcel you send, for as long as you sell that product — a few millimetres of wasted depth across ten thousand parcels is a real number.
We quote on bespoke sizes, board grades and printed outers. Because the corrugated board is made in-house, that's a normal conversation rather than an exception. Send us the dimensions and we'll work through it.
Sustainability, without the vagueness
Corrugated is among the most recycled packaging materials in the UK, and everything in our corrugated range goes into ordinary household paper collection with nothing for the customer to separate.
Where we can we specify formats that close without plastic tape — peel-and-seal lids, self-seal strips — so the whole parcel is one material from dispatch to doorstep. Our paper mailing and padded ranges are plastic-free throughout, using paper cushioning rather than bubble film.
We would rather tell you what a product is made of and how it is recycled than put a leaf on the page. If you want the detail, our complete guide to cardboard boxes covers board grades, flutes and how corrugated is made and recycled.
